Belgrave Music Hall & Canteen

When I was doing my Master’s Degree in Leeds, my friends and I would come to the Belgrave Music Hall & Canteen quite often. If anything, it was one of my favorite spots to hangout to drink and eat during my student time.

This venue opened in 1934 as Leeds Children's Palace, a place for recreation and childcare for working families. After years of neglect, it was restored and reopened as the Belgrave Music Hall & Canteen, aiming to provide a new stage for artists and performers. It has 3 floors with live music, comedy, movies, and art, plus 2 bars and a rooftop terrace.

I think it’s fairly priced, and as a student, I enjoyed going with friends. The beer choices were amazing and I loved the pizzas. It’s a great spot to relax, chat, and watch live performances.

If you happen to be in Leeds and had some time to relax and enjoy some lovely atmosphere, I do recommend this place!
